How it works
1. Request a quote (about 2 minutes)
Fill in the quote form on this page. Tell us what you are selling and add photos if you can, including hallmarks, stamps, serial numbers or diamond certificates. Within 30 minutes we reply with an estimate based on today's gold and silver prices.
2. We send you a packing guide and courier booking
If you are happy with the estimate, we email you a reference number and packing instructions. You can choose either option:
- Option A: we book and pay for an insured courier to collect from your home or office.
- Option B: you send the parcel with a courier of your choice, insured for its full value. We refund shipping costs of up to R300 when you accept our offer.
3. Your parcel is opened on camera
When your parcel arrives at our Sandton, Cape Town or Alberton office, we open it on video and send you the recording, so you know exactly what we received and in what condition.
4. We test and value your items
Gold and silver are tested with an XRF analyser, which does not damage the piece. Diamonds and watches are assessed by our in-house specialists. Your parcel is evaluated on the day it arrives, and you then receive your final offer in writing, with a weight, purity and price breakdown for each item.
5. Accept and get paid, or get your items back
- Accept: we pay by EFT within an hour of the evaluation, on the same day your parcel arrives.
- Decline: we return your items, fully insured and at no cost to you, within 2 business days.
There is no obligation at any step.
Shipping, insurance and payment at a glance

Our return policy
- You are never obliged to sell. Nothing is bought until you accept our written offer.
- If you decline, every item is returned to you fully insured, at no cost to you, within 2 business days.
- Your parcel is opened on video and you receive the recording, so there is a clear record of what we received.
Your items are protected
- Insurance: parcels are insured in transit.
- Video record: every parcel is unboxed on camera.
- Written valuation: you see the test results before you decide.
- Registered buyer: licensed second-hand goods dealer, SAPS registration number 25/13/2/09/2022.
What you will need
- A copy of your ID and proof of address. The Second-Hand Goods Act requires us to record your identity and address for every sale.
- Your banking details for the EFT.
- Any certificates, boxes or papers for diamonds and watches, since these can increase your offer.

Gold jewellery (9ct to 22ct and Indian gold), Krugerrands and gold coins, silver jewellery, coins and cutlery, platinum jewellery, certified and uncertified diamonds, and luxury watches (Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer and more).
Courier FAQs
How long does the whole process take?
Usually 2 to 3 business days from collection to payment. Once your parcel reaches us, it is evaluated the same day and, if you accept, paid by EFT within an hour of the evaluation.
What if my parcel is lost or damaged?
Parcels are insured in transit, and the insurance covers the claim. If you send your parcel with your own courier (Option B), make sure it is insured for its full value.
Can I send items from Cape Town or other provinces?
Yes. We accept parcels from anywhere in South Africa. In Cape Town, you can also visit our Green Point branch in person.
Is there a minimum value?
Yes, R3 000.
Do you pay more in-store?
No. Courier sellers receive the same rates as branch customers. We do not deduct any commission or evaluation fees.
